Job Responsibilities
As a Junior Data Scientist at Zelestra, you’ll play a key role in leveraging data science to optimize solar and wind energy systems:
- Develop and deploy time-series models for energy forecasting.
- Analyze asset performance and predict equipment health & maintenance needs.
- Build LLM-based asset management solutions.
- Generate visual models from satellite and drone imagery.
- Create insightful dashboards with Power BI and Amazon QuickSight.
- Manage large-scale IoT datasets on AWS S3 / Azure Blob.
- Work on model deployment and performance monitoring in cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 0–2 years in a data science or analytics role.
- Languages: Proficient in Python, R, or similar.
- Modeling: Hands-on experience with time-series forecasting.
- Visualization: Skilled in Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight.
- ML Frameworks: Familiarity with TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
- Cloud: Experience with AWS, Azure, cloud data lakes.
- Version Control: Git and GitHub proficiency.
- Communication: Strong analytical thinking and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to renewable energy or energy-tech projects.
- Prior experience with satellite imagery modeling.
- Knowledge of large language models and generative AI.
